Our first quarterly membership meeting will be on April 12th at 10 am. at the Bonito Volunteer Firehouse on Highway 220.
It’s time to start the process of selecting a new board at the end of this year. If you are interested in serving, please let us know and we will be happy to talk to you about what is expected as well as let you shadow us as we get ready for the transition. To do that, we will be opening our monthly board meetings to whoever would like to attend for that purpose as well as bringing any issues you would like to discuss.
If you can’t attend but have questions for us, please contact us using the information above and remember to check the web site occasionally for newsletters and other neighborhood related news.
The most important issue at hand is fire mitigation. We are already experiencing red flag alerts,and it is of utmost importance that our lots are maintained appropriately. That could mean the thinning of trees and mowing tall grass for lots that don’t have homes on them. Clearing out clutter around your house that could easily catch fire is just as important.
We are working hard on getting slash picked up that has been accumulating and we will let you know when those dates will be.
We are trying to get email addresses for everyone so that we can cut down on the amount of postage it costs for communications like this. It will also allow you to pay your dues online by credit card or directly through your bank account. Even if you aren’t interested in online payment options, please allow us to have your email address.
After this mailing, newsletters will be posted on the bulletin board and on the website.
If you haven’t paid your dues, please do so by April 1st to avoid late charges. Again, providing us with your email address to pay by credit card will be faster than the mail.
Since the new cluster mailbox has been installed, some of you have been contacted by the post office to switch you from your PO box. Please let us know when that happens so we can keep our accounting records up to date. Unfortunately, not everyone on the waiting list will get a box now and, according to the postmaster, it will be at least five years before we can install another cluster box because of how the mail carriers’ contracts are written.
Along with quarterly financials, the results of the ballot will be revealed at the meeting in April. If you cannot attend and would like these reports, shoot us an email requesting them and we’ll email them back to you.
